Inspiration: "It really depends on what I am interested in at the moment. Everything has the potential to inspire. I like visiting websites geared towards street style such as The Sartorialist and photo sharing sites like www.ffffound.com, and www.vi.sualize.us."

Cultural Background: "My parents are Filipino but I was born and raised in Canada. I was initially a mechanical engineer as both my parents studied chemical engineering. Growing up with my grandpa being a tailor and my grandma being a seamstress introduced me to fashion and sewing."

Future Plans: "For the future, I will be staying in Vancouver exploring the fashion industry. I eventually want to leave for a bigger fashion capital, possibly New York."

Awards: Helen Lefeaux Class of 2008 — Best Designer

Favorite Clothing Store: "I really don’t have a favourite store that I frequently shop at. I truly enjoy shopping in other cities and finding those key pieces."

Advice: "Never lose sight of your goals. Someone told me to write down all the great things that make you want to follow your dreams. Every time you feel discouraged, go back to that list to get back on it."

Favorite Fashion Trend: Skinny jeans.
